“When we moved here the cottage had been in the same family for many years, we completely refurbished throughout, keeping the country cottage style with a modern twist. “The village is so friendly, and our neighbours are lovely. There is a newsagent, village shop and post office, florists, hairdressers and two good pubs, ‘The Fox and Hounds’ and ‘The Six Bells’. The primary school has a ‘Good’ Ofsted report and is well regarded. There are good secondary school transport links from the village and a car share scheme. The village has a football and rugby club and a children's play park and friendly baby group. Lucknam Park, the Georgian country house hotel and spa, is 1.8 miles away for a special meal. We have a high energy dog and it is so brilliant to be able to go for long country walks over fields and through pretty wooded valleys. Chippenham railway station is 8.9 miles away with trains to London in 60 minutes and there is good access to M4. It is so lovely to live in such beautiful countryside in such a pretty, period cottage, but with excellent transport links.”
