Located on the east side of Bath on Claremont’s intriguing slopes, 1 Frankley Buildings is a handsome three-storey end of terrace property with three bedrooms, bursting with character. Built circa 1810 – 1820, this Grade II listed property has been refurbished throughout and is in excellent order. With walled and paved areas to the front and back, the property affords a great deal of privacy whilst its triple aspect windows offer a fantastic amount of natural light. There are stunning views to Bathford in one direction and Prior Park and the city centre in the other. The current owners have lived here since 2013; “We were hugely attracted to the property’s town house style and location away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, however everything you could need is just a stroll away, from great shops and restaurants to country walks up Solsbury Hill and along the Kennet & Avon Canal. Located just off beautiful Camden Road, which offers a skyline view of the city, we are close to the village of Larkhall which has much to offer, including a Co-op, excellent butcher, farm shop, and the very popular Larkhall Deli, as well as the Rose and Crown pub. Alice Park is 0.7 miles away with tennis courts and a café and a great place to meet up with local families and kids and the Rondo Theatre. Bath has good amenities for all types of lifestyle and a wealth of excellent schools, both state and independent, with many being within striking distance of the house. The area is popular with families, professionals and creatives – a really great mix.”
“The house is in good order, organised, easy to keep clean and with a great amount of storage. Most of the windows are sash and shuttered and there are salvaged wooden floors, a modern fitted kitchen and a log burning stove in the ground floor sitting room area. Downstairs is open plan with a separate shower room and WC with underfloor heating. The three bedrooms are arranged over the first and second floors with a modern bathroom with underfloor heating on the first. The house is both practical and comfortable.”
“We enjoy great neighbours to the side and opposite; a mix of people who have lived here for most of their lives, and new arrivals – we have a good neighbourhood watch. Frankley Buildings has unrestricted on-street parking.”
“The private gardens are easy to maintain and wonderful to sit out in – the front door has lovely stained glass which, when sunny, brings the colour of the garden and the sunshine right into the house.”
The centre of Bath is 0.8 miles away with so many museums and galleries and enticing shops and Bath Spa station is 1.7 miles away. “This has been the perfect location, with the city centre easily accessible, but a village feel here, and beautiful country so close by.”
