A stylish mid-terraced three bedroom home with garden and parking and contemporary open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, just a 0.4 mile walk from Bath Spa station.

Property Summary

A stylish mid-terraced three bedroom home with garden and parking and contemporary open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room, just a 0.4 mile walk from Bath Spa station, and with easy access to the shops, restaurants and excellent schools of Georgian Bath.

The vendors say; “We were amazed to find this three bedroom house with garden and a parking space right in the city centre, yet with the countryside on our doorstep for the price of an apartment in central Bath. The location is brilliant; I work in Bristol and either walk down to the station which is 0.4 miles away or cycle on the cycle track which you can join at Broad Quay.”

“The previous owner took down a stud wall between the kitchen and sitting/dining room so now the downstairs is a stunning open plan space. We put in a new white gloss kitchen with mirrored tile splashbacks to make the most of the light. The house is very light with floor to ceiling windows, with recent double glazing.
We put in a breakfast bar and now this kitchen/sitting room/dining room is a perfect entertaining space and our favourite area of the house. It opens into the garden, where there is a patio and a decking area, with a lawn in between.”

“Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a lovely modern bathroom. The carpet throughout the second floor is a luxurious long pile grey carpet. We have a high quality dark wood laminate on the ground floor. We installed under-stair storage with large deep drawers, with a vast volume of storage with a contemporary look.

This house has been very versatile: we moved in as a young couple and now we have two kids and a dog and have stayed here for eleven years as the house has offered us so much.”

“The area has been ideal for us. Of the state schools Widcombe Infants School has an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating as does Beechen Cliff School and Hayesfield is ‘Good’. The Paragon, Prior Park and King Edward’s School private schools are also nearby. We can walk up steps up the hill, avoiding the road, to Alexandra Park which has sensational views over Bath and is the best place to go on Bonfire night and watch the fireworks over the city. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants, the White Hart in Widcombe is great for food, the Bear at Bear Flat a good place to meet for drinks and the Bear Pad in Hayes Place does awesome breakfasts and coffee. Menu Gordon Jones is the best for fine dining. Prior Park garden centre has a good farm shop and a lovely café as well as an excellent selection of plants. The Co-op in Widcombe is our nearest shop but of course we have excellent access to all the big supermarkets of Bath, as well as the many theatres, galleries and five star restaurants.”

“We feel very privileged to have lived in such a versatile house that offers so much in such a superb location in the centre of Bath.”
