The village of Farleigh Hungerford is picturesque and peaceful, with local interest provided by historic Farleigh Castle. “The castle has been owned by the Hungerford family for hundreds of years,” says the owner, “and they are still actively involved with the village. The sense of community is very strong, particularly more locally amongst the handful of houses down the lane and the pub, The Hungerford Arms, up the road.”

Extensive amenities, leisure facilities and cultural events are to be found in Bradford-upon-Avon, just 2.8 miles away by car, with Trowbridge 4 miles from the house. Supermarkets and shopping facilities are plentiful in both towns.
